AUGUST 2006

Tim Cooper

It is with great sadness that I have to report the death of Tim Cooper on the 17th Aug. He had been battling leukaemia for the past 2 years. He had 2 young children, and was married to Julie. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and even though it has been expected for a while, his death still comes as a shock to me, and I feel we have lost an extremely talented musician and a wonderful person. Tim was a very close friend as well as being bassist in Ashen Mortality.

Tim had to stop playing with the band in the end, due to his health. He recently had a bone marrow transplant and things started to look more positive, but more leukaemia cells were found and no more treatment could be given except that which would make things more comfortable.

I felt that supporters of the band would like to know about this and have checked with Julie, who was happy for me to inform our fans.

Thanks to all that supported Ashen Mortality in the 12 years we were together.

All the best to you all,

Ian
